High School Flashback

Monday, November 24, 2008

I just watched one of the newest episodes of South park called the Ungroundable, and it flashed me back to my old days in high school.

The episode talks about how there's true goths, then there's vamp kids that are temporary goths. In the end, they blame the entire thing on Hot Topic. It was pretty damn funny. But there's a speech in it that reminded me of back in the days with An, Rensmay, Reed, Garlow, and all of those guys. Here's a transcription of the speech.

Fellow students, over the past week there's been a lot of confusions so we have asked for this assembly to clarify the difference between goth kids and vampire kids. Let us make it abundantly clear; If you hate life, truely hate the sun, and need to smoke and drink coffee, you are goth. If, however, you like dressing in black cause it's fun, enjoy puting sparkles on your cheeks and following the occult while avoiding things that are bad for your health, then you are most likely a douchebag vampire want-to-be boner. Because anybody who thinks they are actually a vampire is freaking retarded.
((Crowd Cheers))
And fuck all of you.

This speech was absolutely hilarious. it reminded me of back in the day when everyone would go to Denny's or IHOP to chill once the mall closed, but I was always too cool to go. lol. Back in my first band: Eturnal Knights with Scott Lochow on bass, Garlow on guitar, Reed on drums, and me singing and playing guitar.

I want everyone to share a story of back in the day (if, that is, they can remember one.)

I'll start it off:

I remember one night Reed and Garlow picked me up to head to Wegmans. We went there, grabbed some stuff, and hopped in the car for a joy ride. I remember BLASTING Heretic Anthem when Garlow put this fucked up mask on and stuck his head out the window to scare the shit out of an old lady.

MOUNT UP! (again)

Thursday, November 20, 2008

So I got some new, really rare mounts on WoW, and I thought that I'd share them.

The first is the Brewfest Ram. I was trying to get it last year, but wasn't leveled enough. This year, the odds of getting it were absolutely terrible, but I got it.

The next is the Armored Bear Mount from the city of Dalaran. It's exensive as hell, but well worth it.

The last of these three is the Zhevra Mount from recruit-a-friend. Very rare and cool mount.

That's it. Some mounts for you. really dorky and unimportant, but necissary around final time. Lol.

Doubled Up

Friday, November 7, 2008

So I officially put the paper work to add a second major to my degree. It'll take more time to get, but I think it will ultimately be worth it. I'm not a dual major of Anthropology and Jewelry Design. I have a portfolio review on Tuesday to officially become accepted into the program, but there's no doubt I'll pass.

The odd thing is that I'm a dual major of a BS in a social science (Anthropology) and a BFA in a fine art (Jewelry Design.) At the same time, Kenny's a dual major of a social science (Psychology) and a BFA in a Fine Art (Painting.)

I guess we are actually twins.

Chippewa

Saturday, Novemer 1, 2008

Last night was interesting to say the least. The night started out like a normal night at work. Then, Danny, the general manager, approached me about being put in a different house. I'm normally in Wicked Woods, but I was willing to move. Then he told me not at this location. Well, I didn't know we had any other location.

The location he was talking about was a club called Bayou down on Chippewa. I'd never been there, and I'm not a huge fan of night clubs. Shitty music and drunk frat boys isn't my idea of a "good time." But hey, I'll try anything once.

I had to change characters from a zombie, to a psycho butcher. So I did. I went down to Bayou around 10PM and was there until 4AM. Let's just say, I was punched, kicked, had beer thrown at me, and was tipped for scaring the shit out of a guy. Interesting night really.

I will be at the Bayou location again tonight if anyone wants to come and visit.

After about 2 or 3AM, a bunch of other Fright World people headed down to hang out and get the VIP treatment. I took some pictures of our obserdity.
