Pictures Again

Thursday, July 31, 2008

Ok, I had major glitches in my gallery. But it's completely fixed. Now the gallery is active, and the pictures are all in. So please check it out and tell everyone else where it is so that they can check it out, too. Also, the Share Your Own Photos board is up and running, so go ahead and throw your pictures on there.

Again, I'd like to thank everyone for sharing their pictures with us.

On top of the wedding pictures, my Band gallery is up. It's not anywhere NEAR complete, but there's a lot there now. So check that out too.

Pictures, Pictures, All Around!

Tuesday, July 29, 2008

So here's the deal:

I've noticed that there have been LOADS of pictures all over the place from the wedding from many different sources. This is great, and I'm so glad. But I've also heard some people say that they haven't seen many. To solve this problem, I built my own photo album and went through tons of Facebooks collecting pictures (hope you don't mine.) So now I have a database of wedding pictures from many people including Kerry McDonough, Jamie Kaplowitz, Ann Stachowski, Leslie Keehfus, and my parents. I hope to add more in the near future.

I will be adding some of the photographers photos once they become available, as well.

On top of this, I added an album where you can upload all of your pictures from the wedding and share them with the rest of us. Please do if you have ANY. ANY AT ALL!

I will also be adding a Bands album soon, so band members should keep an eye out for that.

Six and Seven

Friday, July 25, 2008

So today is our last day down here in Ft. Lauderdale on the honeymoon. Yesterday we relaxed all day, and then went to Mai Kai, a Polynesian restaurant with tons of food, Polynesian music and dancers, and some fire dancers. It went pretty well, but it made me realize that they make their drinks REALLY STRONG down here. Meg had a drink with rum in it, and all you could taste was rum. Mine hadd vodka in it, and all you could tase was vodka. It's not very appealing in my opinion, but oh well.

Today we went down to the pier and had lunch and did some shopping and such. Meg almost died from heat exhaustion, but we made it. I had a great burger that was teriaki beef with grilled pineapple.

I'll post pictures of everything once I get home and upload the pics to the server.

Sad Man, that 50 Cent

So I read a story today about 50 cent suing Taco Bell for an them asking him to change his name for a day to 79, 89, or 99 cent, This guy is just DESPERATE for money. It's really said when the world has become so sue crazy that millionairs (who IMO didn't earn the money to begin with) sue another million-dollar company for even more millions of dollars, meanwhile half of the world can starve to death, and half of our own country is jobless and poor because of a shit economy. It really is sad.

Honeymoon Day 5

Wdnesday, July 23, 2008

Today we drove down to Miami and went to the zoo. I went there once several years ago and liked it, and it was even better this time because they've done a lot of work on it. They're adding more on, too, practically doubling the size of the already 3 mile zoo. But the expansion is going to be really cool, and will include a water park and an amazon exhibit that half of it floods like the amazon, and half stays normal so that you can see both. We then went to the Galleria mall here in Ft. Lauderale and saw a scarey sign offering up to $350,000 for information on a double homicide that happened at another mall. Today went well even though it was roasting hot.

Honeymoon Day 4

Tuesday, July 22, 2008

Today we rented a car to get around town. We picked it up and headed to Butterfly World, a butterfly conservatory and aviary down here. There were so many butterflies. I know how stupid that sounds. Obviousely there will be LOADS of them there, but I didn't predict how many there would be. They said that about 10,000 are flying around there every day. On top of that, I got some cool pictures of hummingbirds. Then, we got a new pet! We adopted a pupae (caccoon is actually only what it's called for silk moths.) When the swallowtail (haha, I said swallow) butterfly comes out in spring, we'll let it go. It has to be the most spoiled pupae every, though. We took it to the Festival Fleamarket (or what I call the Ft. Lauderdale black market) shopping with us where I bough a bootleg phone charger and some REALLY killer folding sunglasses. Then, we took the pupae to a movie. We saw Dark Knight. That was a GREAT movie and Heath Ledger was absolutely brilliant in it. He played Joker like the sick, twisted fuck he was meant to be.

The only bad part of the day is that my ankle, which I hurt (again) several days ago is now swollen and throbbing. So I got a walking stick to try to keep pressure off of it.

I also got a new memory card for my camera, so when we get back into town, I'll post tons of pics. I can't right now because I brilliantly forgot my cable.

Second and Third Day of Honeymoon

Monday, July 21, 2008

Yesterday we did NOTHING and it was nice.

Today we woke up early and hopped on a shuttle down to the Everglades for an airboat tour. Our shuttle driver was, ironically enough, a retiree from Rochester. His youngest kid went to UB. The chances of that happening are slim to none. He was a really nice guy named John that knew a lot about the area and the wildlife. It was a great day. Then we headed to las Olas. It's like the fancy dining and shopping area down here. A pair of jeans was fucking $220. Damn. They have a lot of art shops down here, though, which is nice.

While I was in the Everglades, though, a funny meeting happened. I was wearing a discrete World of Warcraft shirt with some symbols on it that only someone who played would recognize. I walked into a little giftshop in a shack in the middle of no where, and a kid behind the desk says "I can't serve you because I assume you're horde." I said, "Yeah, leave it to an ally." I talked to him for a few minutes, bought some stuff and went on our tour. I went back in later and bought a sign for my dad, and he couldn't pick it up off the counter because it was flat. So I said "Normal ally problem....Can't get it up." It was dorkishly amusing. Anyway, so we're having fun.

Day One of Honeymoon

Saturday, July 19, 2008

So it's our first night in Fort Lauderdale on our honeymoon!

The flight went great at 7:30am. Left EXACTLY on time. The only problem was the skycap asshole at the Buffalo Airport. We were already checked in, so we got out of our shuttle and brought our stuff to the Skycap dude. He continued to give us a speech on how we are too young to need Skycap, and that we are wasting everyone's time by doing it, and that we aren't what Skycap is made for. We didn't tip him and I'm calling his boss, so I'll get the last laugh. he even said he's like a waiter, and that we were totally capable of doing it ourselves. However, I don't get my own food at a restaurant. Dick.

Other than that, it's going great. very hot. I already have a sunburn, though.

I'm Married!

Saturday, July 12, 2008

Hey all. Last night was Meg's and my wedding!

It went amazingly! It was at the University Sharaton in downtown Syracuse. The ceremony was in the comstock room, and the reception was in the regency ballroom.

The ceremony went awesome, and Rev. Hal Avery was the officiant. He did great, and Shawn and Kerry both did great at their readings. We were lead out by Jack Heins on bagpipes, and went to cocktail hour where the string trio played. I then jumped on my 12 string to perform both Meg's and my song, Glycerine by Bush. I will try to get a video of that up if it's good enough quality.

The reception was awesome, and Mr. Nuts, our DJ, was perfect. He did so much for the entire night. The flowers (done by The Backyard Garden's Nino) were exactly what we wanted, as well as the cake (done by The Petisseri's Michael).

I want to thank EVERYONE who came, and I hope you post pictures soon :D

I will try to get mine up ASAP.

Be sure to say hi to the new Mrs. Harris.
